Just the other day I was searching Elfquest stuff (which I've never read but have always wanted to) and found that most of the Elfquest comics are available for free online at their official site.

Elfquest was one of the first "alternative" comics I bought at my first comic shop in New Milford, CT. I loved it from the first!

Years and years ago, I recall that there was to be an animated movie of "Elf Quest." I remember reading that the Pinis were adamant that the movie be faithful to their work. Unfortunately, the movie has never gotten off the ground.

That would make for an interesting movie. What would they rate it I wonder? Most of the story is kid friendly but...there are other moments.

I got into ELFQUEST when Marvel reprinted the comics in color.  Hadn't really paid much attention to it before because at that age I wasn't too fond of B&W.  I immediately loved the series.  Can't remember where I left off, but I think it would be great fun to own the collections and start back at the beginning.  I'm sure I'd fall in love with their world all over again.

This anecdote seems like a good excuse to post a picture of Wendy in her Red Sonja outfit, circa 1976 (as if I need an excuse):

Also, I've seen that one before but not in color. If I remember correctly it was in an old fan mag (Something.....Jersey).

I still need to get Wendy Pini to sign my copy of Elfquest: Hidden Years 9-1/2 to make it complete, JB signed it at MOC in 2004.

This issue was nice, Pini & Byrne(not my copy):

And then JB did a story in New Blood #1 of course.
