In X-men 132, when Wolverine meets Donald Pierce in the basement off hellfire club, Logan says " Yeah, I know all about CYBORGS... I almost became one myself." ( my first X-men comics)

That and the story from Days of future past, reveling his adamantiumskeleton, would be a interesting origin for Logan I would like too read.

The old days Wolverine is one of my favorites. Not the bone claws.

At the time Wolverine was such an original character...man with a metal skeleton and claws, hyper senses and a fast healing ability..no to mention completely psychotic. he was the counter culture to everything Marvel and DC. Then he became the norm and everybody had to have the "dangerous" character.

JB do you think you could talk Marvel into letting you come back and renumbering Uncanny to # 144?

It would have to be a lot earlier than that!

If I was really to restart UNCANNY from some point after I came aboard (and
setting aside the fact that only the original team will ever be the "real" X-
Men to me), I'd have to start very, very early. Perhaps as soon as 108. Chop
off the whole Shi'ar connection before it became too ingrained. And then
start scaling Jean -- who would indeed be Jean -- back to what she was
supposed to be when she got that power boost in 100/101. Just Marvel Girl,
only more so.

Mine. At that point, Chris had not read most of those comics. His familiarity
with the pre-All New, All Different X-Men pretty much began and ended
with the Thomas/Adams issues.

I distinctly remember a Claremont interview from my adolescence where he slyly hints that Wolverine experiences an orgasm every time he pops his claws. If that is the case and it was me, I'd be popping those suckers every 5 bloody seconds!
