Is there a "trick" to conveying Spider-Man's youth as you always seem to do so effectively?

Congratulations to Blair on a stellar commission. Spider-Man is one of my least favorite characters, going back to my childhood annoyance that he single-handedly defeated the original Avengers (in their own book, no less) way back when. But this piece is spectacular. JB, you might make a Spider-Man fan out of me yet!

Talking of photoshop, have you ever thought about going completely digital? •• Somewhere, Jim Warden feels troubled, and does not know why. No, I don't see a totally digital future in my, er, future. I have done a couple (as in 2) pages that way, just to see what it was like, one in GENERATIONS and one in my recent SCHISM mini at IDW, and while the results looked just fine, they lacked the magic of paper and ink.

Like, my distaste for the Legion of Superheroes dates back to their very first appearance.

Spectacular!! I do think the buildings look much better, and more real.

I think that effect looks very cool and interesting, as well!

To this day, I have a distaste for Marrina of Alpha Flight because of how she gutted poor Puck. I know it had to do with her origins and The Master, as was later revealed, but for some reason I never got over her doing that to Puck.

Here's an EASY one, JB: the Black Panther vs Venom, at night -- in the middle of a blackout! THAT'LL use up your allotment of PITT pens for a month or two! By the way, your NEW stuff is better...way, WAY better! Your backgrounds are consistently amazing, but THIS...fecking WOW! Hoe do you DO it? I know, you'll say, "Practice, practice", but, c'mon...to what pagan god do you sacrifice neighborhood children? To what foul netherworld being have you sold your soul? You must have struck SOME dark, arcane deal for THIS degree of talent; 'fess up, now...

Great Michael... I finally got that image of JB wearing the monkey mask on out of my mind, and now you go and put devil's horns on his head and a pitchfork in his drawing hand... ;)

I wonder, if Spidey was wearing hi red-and-black threads, how the subjective contour would work with this piece. •• Little bit like this? ************************ That's way cool.
