I didn't get a chance to check out the comic much more than a skim yesterday, when I got my shipment in at the shop, but now I have checked it out. Great stuff! I love the art on the backgrounds in particular! In regard to that page 12, though, how can such a thing pass by the editor without notice... and twice! I can imagine your frustration, JB. It's frustrating enough for me as a fan to not be able to read what you had intended for us to read.

Read it today. I really enjoyed this. I'll get more into it once more people have read it.

I believe most people here know what a big fan of JOHN BYRNE'S NEXT MEN I am.
I just finished reading COLD WAR #4. If this series were to maintain the same high level of storytelling (words and pictures) we've seen in the first four issues, it could rival my love of JBNM.
That's high praise!
JB, are the "<" and ">" marks used to indicate Russian turned the way you wanted them to be in this issue? Is the word balloon in the last panel of page 4 supposed to be coming from someone other than Swann? Will "the story so far..." pages be left out of COLD WAR collections?

I really enjoyed the ending! Very dramatic and cinematic!

JB, in the past, you've expressed that you didn't feel confortable writing crime or detective stories....did COLD WAR change your outlook some?

JB, I was wondering if you could tell us who do you cast as Michael Swann?

JB, in the past, you've expressed that you didn't feel confortable writing crime or detective stories....did COLD WAR change your outlook some?•• First, that's not what I said. I have said I've largely steered away from Batman over the years, because good Batman stories, to my mind, are mystery stories, and those are hard to write. Harder, anyway, than stories about two planets crashing into each other. COLD WAR isn't a mystery series.

JB, looking at the the first arc as a whole, you mentioned something to the effect that the headshot on the first issue's cover was supposed to be changed. Looking at it made me curious. Was Rupert Kemp originally going to be, or look like Taffy Llewelyn?

I managed to get the alternate cover again. I enjoyed the book and story very much. The ending was a bit of a surprise as well, but I liked it and the shock I got reading it. Great job, Chief.

COLD WAR isn't a mystery series. +++++++
Ah, right. Swann is doing the "blunt instrument" thing.
Sorry for the misquote.
