These are beautiful.  It's like every half-remembered childhood nightmare that I've ever had, captured in flimsy plastic and flammable cloth.

So many amazing things going on in these costumes, like the scary attempts at female faces, the weird design and color choices, and the inclusion of characters like The Red Skull.  What kid wouldn't want to dress up like his favorite Nazi supervillain on Halloween?

What I find most incredible are the masks that actually try (and some tiems succesfully) to emulate a certain artist's style in its rudimentary 3D fashion.

Fascinating!

I had a nylon type Superman costume when I was a kid, and I have a vivid memory of using my cape to block a handful of sand thrown by another kid in kindergarden. I'd also wake up on ceratin saturday mornings and ask my mother for permission to wear it! Good times.

Lots of cool stuff I have never seen before!  Like the Dr. Strange mask on page one!  That's pretty well done!

Even as a kid it chafed me that you'd have (in some cases)
a fairly cool costume design that was then ruined by
scrawling "Spider-Man" (or whatever) across it with a HUGE
picture of the character underneath. Why would Spider-Man
go around with a huge picture of himself on his chest???

Looking on these pics, it's possible for me to believe I was a theatre snob even as a child.  I hated these costumes!  Not just the masks, which were uncomfortable and hard to breathe through, but the bib overall costumes with a lame picture of the character on the chest!  Even as a kid, I wanted to the costume to look like THE ACTUAL COSTUME!

That's what motivated me to start designing my own stuff!
