Thanks! There are two earlier iterations of Darkseid that were simply not post-able. This one barely is. I'm losing something between the underlying sketch and finished paints that I'll only be able to figure out by plodding away, although I think I'm done plodding away with Darkseid for a while.

Inspired by my favored dirty pipes in the Darkseid pic.
I promise to not post every one of these things. But I thought this one had forum thematics. Still struggling with mixing paint for properly toned washes (I do them too light and have to make too many passes), and getting proper light and shadow. Didn't try to work from a fleshed out pencil sketch this time, just roughs.

Did the original sketch very quickly while sitting on the sofa. To the left and right (cropped out) are some very funny backgrounds where the perspective looks like something from Pee Wee's playhouse. If I knew it was going to turn out not-half-bad I would have spent more time drawing it and used a ruler.
