I'm working on a book and I wanted to see the main character and also keep his face and details consistent so I drew this sketch. Quickly colored to see what he looked like and am pretty pleased with him.

^With that manly brow, squared jawline and broad shoulders...you've got the makings of a good Tarzan sketch Eric. If Wonder Woman is what you were going for though, I'd recommend working on drawing feminine features. Everything else looks good from this angle.

I would soften the lips and the eyes and nose and chin for Wonder Woman..otherwise it looks terrific.  I hope to see more fantastic work like this from your sketch book.  It really looks good.

@ Robert:

Well, it looks like you have a similar problem to one of mine, where you tend to have the eyes on a face a bit assymetrically aligned, and the noses on the faces turned at the 3/4 angle appear smashed-in. Other than that, I see a skill in character design, the range of emotions and personality given, and a fairly clean and detailed pencil line.

My advice is to do a lot of practice with faces turned at various angles to see how the nose stands out. It would be structured like a pyramid shape half-embedded in the plane of the face and descending from the ridge of the brow, with the point coming out in the direction that the face is turned. You can use photographs to aid in doing this.
