I had to take this with my iPhone since I did not have a scanner handy.

A little thumbnail page from a small project
I had been working on last month. The Big Bad
introduces himself to the group of heroes.

Nice work everyone. A great thread to motivate ones self to get better (or at least get pencil on paper).

My latest small project in progress. I wish Marvel
would just get back to simple, one-off little stories
like this and stick with it.

(My idea is that after this conversation, Spider Woman
and the new Ms. Marvel will get sucked up into a fight
alongside the Inhumans fixing that recent storyline.)

Doodled after work today. Thought I'd have fun using some Kirby-esque cues. All digital done in Storyboard Pro 4.

We're going to need some bios for those "Official handbook of the Darren Taylor Universe" pics.

Inking phase done. Lots of work, but I think I'm getting the hang of it.

Next time I use perspective, I'm going to try something a little different.

Carmen, I sincerely hope you take this in the manner with which it is proffered! I have enjoyed seeing your work here-abouts. The latest of which was equally done with you usual style dedication.
In it, I noted something that is oft listed as something that ought to be avoided, where possible. I point it out here, solely on the off chance you are unaware of it and that this information might help you in some way.
It is in -no- way a critique!

I noted that you lovely drawing of Spider Woman has her left (cam right) foot touch the panel border. This has the regrettable effect of making the character appear as though she is resting on it.
One minor little tweak and it's resolved. I have tweaked your nice panel to reflect the change that I am describing.

If this is of some help to you great, otherwise, please just ignore.

Best,

-Darren

PS. I also moved the speech bubble a little. That was mainly to give a tiny bit extra room and because I moved Spider Woman.

The critique is accepted. I had that thought nagging me a bit as I worked on the piece, but was too far along to really want to do something. I'll try to be more aware of the placement on the panel next time. There's still a lot I have to catch up on.
