Yeah, I like the colours you've added, Steven. The original photo that was on the cover of the Hollywood Reported had that nice visionary stare, of course, but the extra colours in your take enhance the picture. Funny how the different eye colour thing is so hard to capture.

Yeah, I liked that HR cover photo but felt just doing a straight translation into a digital painting was boring. As far as the eye thing, I do seem to recall absent mindedly changing both eyes to blue at some point! But his damaged pupil seems to cover up the problem for the most part. Maybe I'll tweak that a little bit later.

A good friend who was a huge Dead fan passed Sunday, and I used
Steven's idea for the background. Just a small sketch I'll be enlarging
for a full on painting.

I'm trying to do a kind of animated comic, but each panel's taking me more than a day, which is slow going.
