In the short-lived Atlas comics, Steve Ditko and Wally Wood joined forces for an issue of Destructor...

This is basically like having JB ink Jack Kirby on the FANTASTIC FOUR or George Perez inking John Buscema on THE AVENGERS.

Kane and Romita are two of the best artists of the 60's and their AMAZING SPIDER-MAN was about as good as it gets.

I really enjoyed Tom Palmer's inks over JB's pencils on XMHY. I
wouldn't have thought to pair the two, but now that I've seen the
beautiful work that coupling has produced, I wish there were more on
the horizon.

JB, I know it may be a long shot, but is there any chance of having Mr.
Palmer ink FINDERS OF LOST CHILDREN?

I always liked Avengers annual 15. Pencils by Steve Ditko, inks by Klaus Janson!

I always liked it when they paired a good, clear layout guy like Sal Buscema with someone who could bring cool detail and mood like Klaus Janson.

Likewise, love those Don Heck/Tom Palmer pages!

Avengers 172 paired Sal Buscema with Klaus Janson -- which made them both look so good and talented to me.

Just a few issues later, two other titans met -- John Byrne and Gene Day-- and that didn't work out for me at all.
