In issue #106 Johnny created ice by absorbing the heat in Reed's lab. Although He couldn't control it.
Damn, I'd never seen those before. Thanks for posting!
Maybe something more along the lines of creating fire that had little or no heat to it at all. So it is little more than a light source.
There's an old Lee/Kirby issue (#10, perhaps) where Johnny says something about creating heat without flame. I'll have to hunt it down (unless someone else knows the reference).
