With regards to Johnny Storm. If he can get hot enough to go Supernova. He should be able to go the other direction.

Are you saying he should be able to go all-out Iceman?

No I wouldn't say he could create ice or cold.

Maybe something more along the lines of creating fire that had little or no heat to it at all. So it is little more than a light source.

In issue #106 Johnny created ice by absorbing the heat in Reed's lab. Although He couldn't control it.

Damn, I'd never seen those before. Thanks for posting!

There's an old Lee/Kirby issue (#10, perhaps) where Johnny says something about creating heat without flame. I'll have to hunt it down (unless someone else knows the reference).

Stan and Jack would sometimes play the Torch as Green Lantern. Jack
seemed to forget that was flames he was dealing with.

---

I saw some of that when I read THE ESSENTIAL HUMAN TORCH. I
get how that sort of thing might not sit well with some, but it was just a
fantastic element of the stories for me.

Certainly I'm not lodging a complaint. As a tween I loved that sort of stuff!

Isn't there a Fantastic Four story wherein Johnny keeps an injured Ben Grimm
warm by generating heat without flame?

A good writer can make Namor a readable and enjoyable
series.

Yes, I think so. Was that during JB's run?

Here's another trick of the Torch's from FF #10. I'll bet JB bought this one off the spinner rack!
