As indicated in the story, this event was planned for adults, and promotional materials warned people about explicit content.  However, when the video was shown on Fox News and in other places, it was mischaracterized as having been promoted as an all ages event, with numerous elementary school aged children being present.

So bad reporting is what sparked the outrage.

I think the performance depicted in the video would be inappropriate for kids, regardless of whether the dancer was a drag queen or a straight biological woman.  I would support legislation that prevents schools from presenting explicit material of this nature to young children, and I think that's all most people want.  What others choose to expose their children to over the weekend is none of my business if the kids aren't being abused.

It's tailor made to be affirming and inclusive to queer families and provide opportunities for LGBTQ culture to straight families. That you want to center it around the outrage of bigots is as problematic as the bigots themselves. I have librarian friends who have been doxxed and threatened over having DQSH at their libraries. They just want to put on a program that many in their community want. None of them want attention from bigoted assholes.

If you think it is nothing to get outraged about, just say that? But you keep using words that suggest something is wrong with it, then act offended when people are confused about your words.
