JB,
Is that really what you see, Harry?

Yes sir, regrettably, I missed out on X-Men 120-121 when they first came out and collected them much later. My introduction to AF began with issue #1. In my mind I equate what I thought was Sasquatch being drawn a bit differently to the fact that they now had a book of their own vs an appearance in another title.
That and they were now bonafide heroes which also may have necessitated a revisiting of the characters looks and attributes to fit that narrative. A polish per se. Didn't Snowbird also receive a facelift? That's just me I guess, I might be wrong, they are your creations after all, that's just my perception. I think I see a change in him.

JB: "...Later artists changed my original design once I left the book...."

I wonder how much of that was intentional and how much was stylistic differences, or a misinterpretation of the reference the later artists used?

Most of the changes that have been wrought upon my work at Marvel could hardly have been accidental, Matt. I leave it up to you to decide what was malicious.
