Stay-at-home that I am, I only have to gas up my cars every couple of months. Today it was the Jag’s turn. Tank was almost dry. See thread title. Thank you, King Donald.

Top was $5.89. I actually went down a grade. Hope the Jag doesn’t throw up. As usual, flashing back to my ’71 Beetle and my first fill-up. 35¢ a gallon.

I don't have a car or don't drive. But in my part of the world gas prices are way more, as they have always been. At the moment price is about 2 euros (about $2.30) for a liter. A gallon has 3.785 liters, so in our prices gallon would be about $8.70.
Of course this is probably one reason we have a pretty good public transportation system in most of Europe. I'm happy for that because it means I don't have to get a car to get into places I want to go.

For as long as I can remember I have been told that the rest of the world pays more for gas. Know what? Doesn’t help!!

Our youngest drives a 2008 Infinity. We didn’t know when we bought it that it has to run on premium only. It cost us just under $95 to fill her up earlier this week. That’s insane for a 17-year-old’s vehicle. Hell, it’s insane for anyone’s vehicle.
I see that one of the MAGA proud in Alaska is asking for donations for gas money so they can keep campaigning to hold their senate spot. Idiots.

JB, you had a '71 Beetle? I had a '74. It was a glorious car until it wasn't.

Remember about 4 years ago, people were placing stickers of Joe Biden saying "I did that!" at gas stations?
Where are those folks now....?
I'm literally in the air right now headed to Fairbanks, Alaska. I'm afaid to see what the gas prices are over there! Probably won't be renting a car at all anyway, since we're slowly taking the train and bus down to the coast at Seward this week.
