Maybe detached involvement was why the art on Legends looked so good!

“Detached involvement” isn’t a good description of my time working on LEGENDS. That was more increasing frustration and annoyance.

It seems it was pure professionalism for Legends, then, because it looks so

It’s a real shame, because John Ostrander went on to write some of the
best Star Wars comics produced.

The chief problem with LEGENDS was that DC was racing to recapture the CRISIS success, but as one editor admitted to me about halfway in, they had no idea how to do it.

It was around that time they “realized” it was about the formation of a new Justice League.

Might have been better if they’d STARTED there.

I just remember loving that first issue because you were actually at DC and seeing you draw their characters was great fun.
