Yes.  100%.  With this historic victory, why wait for a hypothetical win in 2028 when the change can be made now?  Schumer has been the majority leader for far too long and has, at least to me, been largely ineffective through the bulk of Trump's two terms.  Time for a change.

But who?

Personally, I like Jon Ossoff.  A lot.  At this early stage, I'd take him over Newsom any day and twice (if I could!) on Election Day.

Agreed, Charles. So much hard work ahead because so much damage has been wrought in the last 22 months.

Totally agree. Young blood needs to start taking over those high positions.

My worry is that the Dems will eat themselves alive,
smelling the possibility of a win in 28.
That could do more damage to the gains.

But then again, the republicans may also very well eat
themselves alive, with various contenders trying to become
Trump's heir.
I wonder if anyone during these two years will have the
guts to raise the issue that he really is a liability now.
Of course, he doesn't think so, but he clearly has become
one.

JFK was “young blood” and he brought us to the brink of WWIII.

1:00 P.M and at the White House, the Felonious doG is talking about ballrooms and reflecting pools. Not how the GOP got NUKED.

Not that we did not know this, but what a Self-Centered, Egotistic, Narcissistic Mother Fucker he is..........

Two years later, all of those who voted for him TRULY thought their lives would be much better than it was under Ol' Joe and/or the Jamaican-Asian woman.

As was stated on this forum: ".....but for the price of eggs, a country was lost......"

....MEANWHILE.....

In Mississippi: Scott Colon is up at this moment by 65 votes. And still counting

A BLACK MAN!!!!! IN MISSISSIPPI!!!!! Are they finally turning the corner in that state?

Probably not. This is a referendum on Trump's policies, not that the voters wanted to go in that direction.

But I'm crossing fingers and hope he wins.
