Your interest in Black Panther is surprising and what a welcome surprise that would be. I think that the character would play to all of your strengths, but I have a hard time imagining a good BP time travel story arc (it would have to come at some point). ••• You can't see T'Challa dropped into the Pre-Civil War South? That, I think, would make a helluva story!

I've always loved Ka-Zar, so that would be great to see... but why only in New York?••• Roger Stern said, once upon a time, that there were only three good Tarzan stories. The first, of course, Tarzan in Pellucidar, and Tarzan in New York. The reasoning behind this is that Tarzan in his native jungle is basically unbeatable. But put him into a jungle he doesn't understand -- real, as in Pellucidar, or metaphorical, as in New York -- and you have something. Same is true of Ka-Zar. Of course there would be trips back to the Savage Land -- Hey! Dinosaurs! -- but Ka-Zar and Zabu in the "asphalt jungle" would be, I think, much more interesting.

I would buy any book you did, because it would be a good read. That is provided that you are left alone to do the book they way you want to do it. However, if you are allowed to do a book the way you want to, I see a larger need for you on other longer running titles. Books like Avengers, Uncanny X-Men, etc. I know that you've worked on many of these titles before, but they are all in need of some serious fixing. If I were EIC of Marvel, I would have you helping put the Marvel books back on track. After that was done, then I would have you pick a lesser known title, or start a new one, to run with.

Invaders would make this old fan HAPPY, HAPPY!
The Black Fox would be just great.
Doctor Strange would be especially cool, too...the commissions that you've posted of this character have always been a joy. A nice "song to Ditko" would be appropriate.
Nick Fury, Agent of SHIELD would be neat, too. Your "government" type superhero stories are always interesting reading.
The cat's meow for ALL these projects would be, of course, STORY, LETTERS, PENCILS and INKS by JOHN BYRNE!

I vote for the Invaders.
JB's a master of the team book, superheroes and WWII related stuff. It's just too perfect.
Guardians of the Galaxy is intriguing because of the team/superhero aspect as well as seeing JB's take on characters that I haven't ever been interested in but if I'm just wishin', I wanna see JB doing characters that I know I like.
Doctor Strange has been done to death by plenty of good creators so I don't have any desire to see JB's take on him.
A little bit of Ka-Zar goes a long way for me as well. Ka-Zar in New York sounds interesting but JB coming back to Marvel(hypothetically) is too big to "waste" on a b-lister like Ka-Zar.
Black Panther and Nick Fury kind of fall into that same category for me. They're both popular but I'd much rather see JB tackle WWII Invaders stories than being introduced to a supporting character's supporting characters.

One man's b-lister is another man's breakout star of the year.
The reason I dig Ka-Zar in NYC is the same as when Kraven hunts Spider-Man or the Beast or DD in the urban landscape...you get to see how jungle skills are adapted, black mamba venom blow darts, eating a rhino's testicle for a strength boost.
Now imagine the response to that in the online community.

THE INVADERS and DR STRANGE would be my top picks. I love any story you do set in WWII and I think you have a great handle on those characters. As far as Strange, I don't think anyone other than Ditko has really gotten the character, but your recent work in commission on the character is incredibly evocative of Ditko, so I think you might be the first in a very long time.
Of course, anything you choose to work on would get full backing from me, no surprise!

Doctor Strange ; Well wouldn't that be just rich with fantastic visuals. I've always loved the character and never understood whhy his books never lasted longer then they have. Each series he has had has always seemed to end too soon for my tastes . With what you did with the Blood of the Demon J.B. makes me really enjoy the idea of you doing Strange. Nick Fury, Agent of SHIELD The James Bond of the Marvel universe now that is some interesting reading.
The Invaders (WW2) Just a dream come true added to the fact that we both like Frank Robbins work on the series is just a added bonus. Guardians of the Galaxy I haven't any feelings on this title
Black Panther (bouncing between NY and Wakanda) It might be an interesting adventure
Ka-Zar (in New York) I've never had much love for Ka-zar The Black Fox (a cheat, I know, but I have not done him in his own title) I honestly don't know much about this character to have feelings about him.
