I work for a charity called Multistory, based in West Bromwich, and we are looking for local people and celebrities to be involved in a project which commemorates the lives and stories of people from Sandwell. As you were born in West Bromwich, we feel it would be great for the town and the local area if you would be willing to take part and contribute a six word story for the project. A PDF of the project proposal is available to give you more information about the project. Six - is a collaboration between Multistory, SMITH magazine and The Public, and is inspired by the six word memoirs project run by Smith Magazine in America www.smithmag.net/sixwords Multistory will re-create the project with the people from Sandwell and will invite residents of the six towns to tell their own story in six words. These could be captions from a moment in life, a comical thought, a poignant tale, words of wisdom and so on. I hope you would be willing to take part in the project and if you require any more information please let me know. Kind regards Keith

Six words! That's barely half a haiku!

I'm intrigued -- but I can't guarantee my brain is up to the task!
Six words!!!! I am reminded of a letter Thomas Jefferson wrote to John
Adams (I think) in which he apologized for the length, saying he lacked the
time to make it shorter.

Hey Keith, where do you live in West Brom - I live in Wednesbury, near the automotive park (Black Country Route) although I'm an immigrant from the north.

Reminds me of a story I read in high school, titled "The Shortest SF Story
Ever Told"*:
Time ended. Yesterday.
* Tho in fact the shortest SF story possible award belongs to Forrest J
Ackerman, for his story titled "Cosmic Report Card: Earth"

Two shortest letters ever. One was from an author inquiring about sales on his new book. He wrote:
"?"
The publisher wrote back:
"!"
Sorry, I can't remember who the author was. Anyone know?

Hey James - as a resident of Wednesbury you'd be very welcome to take part in the project. I work in the centre of West Bromwich and really hope that John will take part in the project - maybe even do the story as six panels we can use in a publication we hope to get done at the end of the project.
I really hope that John and anyone who lives, works or was born in Sandwell will take part in the project.

Hi John, there has been a lot of interest in you contributing to this project, we have managed to get quite a few local names involved, Adrian Goldberg (writer/broadcaster), Liza Goddard (actress), Susan Murray (comedienne) to name drop just a few. The website for the project goes live next week and I'd like to include your story as close to that as possible, we'd also ensure we include a link back to your site from your story.
Hope you are still willing to contribute, and I hope you don't mind me including the image below.

Hi John, are you still intrigued? Is your brain up to the task? Would love to be able to include a contribution to this project from yourself. The project goes public on the 22nd of April, so if you can do a six word story for launch that would be amazing. Whatever happens thanks for taking a look.
