Well Don, I think you've illustrated the point admirably. Both your posts above have bigger signatures than content.

Good riddance to em.

And now you can't turn them off.  How is that an improvement?

Um, Don......if the decision was made to get rid of sig lines, don't you think that someone is going to frown upon you side-stepping that?

Way to go Don. Make your stand if you must.

But it's seriously irritating.

I did check the forum guidelines and as far as I can tell, sig lines are not against the rules.  They just don't seem to be automatic anymore.  I am not posting large graphics, nor am I posting self promoting links.

Have the guidelines changed?  It's hard to say why the sig lines disappeared, there was a thread asking just that question but it was deleted with out any response.  I assumed they got rid of the automatic signature lines and the ability to view disable them so that the powers that be would be better able to moniter the content of the sig lines of those that chose to use them.

Please correect me if I am wrong.

Don, c'mon.  If you want an answer, here it is;  a couple bad apples spoil the whole bunch.  It's easier to turn them off for everyone than suffer through creating new rules and still have people take advantage.  Seriously.  It's that simple.  No sig lines for everyone.  Even playing field.

Now please stop posting your former sig line in the body of your post.  That makes it just as bad as the person who reads all the rules and then tries to find a way to bend them just so they can do what they want.  Sig lines were eliminated for a reason.  I've given it to you.  Should pretty much be end of story.

And I wonder if Dom would have been so agreeable if anyone other than Matt or JB had given the exact same OBVIOUS response.

And I've only just noticed Matts missing his Robotman. Shame.
