Irony is a great thing. Many days when Jodi posts her pictures of the "evil tea party people", I'm tempted to post pics of the protest groups when Bush was President, just to show that political hatred is not new. Then I figure that (a) it's not going to change anyone's mind and (b) why waste bandwidth on something everyone should already know. It's the broad brush painting of people that is really starting to get to me. *Just using the pictures as an example Jodi. Please don't think I'm trying to tell you what to or not to post!

But even in that example, Jeff - you're correct - people did
protest Bush - I was one of them - but it's not the same thing.
We didn't have the support and organization of a popular
nation-wide news-network, nor did our protests represent the
mainstream of the party and by and large, our protests were
largely ignored.A dog and a cat are both animals but not the same.

What kind of racism was levelled against Bush in those protests? Was he called a mon-oh, hey, never mind. I forgot. There ain't nothing racist about "monkey."

Well then, I for one would be most curious to see the images that you have been exercising such self-restraint in not posting. Have at it, Jeff, so that we can see for ourselves what difference there is if any from what Jodi has been posting of the Teabaggers and the hatred that was demonstrated against G.W. Bush.

Jeff you can protest and hate Obama all you want, but when people start encouraging violence by way of signs (some even carrying weapons) and throw racist words at someone, don't cry foul that you are being calling a violent racist.
Here is the way I look at it
Signs that say
"No new Taxes" even "It's the economy stupid" = OK
"Monkey see, monkey do" or "Next time I bring a gun" with a target on Obama's face = Bad
Jeff please post links to guys holding guns at anti bush protests, because I would love to see them. Please post a link to environmental protests or anti war protests or anti Bush protests with someone holding a racist hate sign. Because I would LOVE to see them. But this crap of saying "oh gee, hate to use bandwidth, but if I didn't, boy could I" is bull.

Once again, I never said racist (or gun or enviromental or anything like that). I said hatred. How about a few death wish images and a death threat?
