I am appalled! By the shoddy workmanship.

Derp derp derp. You miss the point - it's too late to
trot those out, of course we're going to tut-tut
them, because it fits with our point. Likewise, if you
have a problem with them, you need to stop
defending the Obama ones.

That's the point of this tired game.

Bush and Obama are the same in my book.  The protesters seem to think so too.

Jeff whats the link on the first one?

I don't get the second one, I am sure it is offensive but not sure what it is, is that Gores head in the basket or Bush? Is the guy saying that is what Bush did at the ballot box? Not trying to be flip, just not sure what it means.

3rd picture OK how is that guy part of the anti war protest group, we DON"T believe in bombing people, let's see hates terrorists and anti goverment hmmmmmm so maybe an early tea bagger? LOL

4th  NO way would I ever defend that sign and it should have been condemned by every one there. Curious as to the event that was held, where did you find that one?

But Jeff the sign on the last one I agree, is so wrong in so many ways.

Did you guys notice the shirt the guy in the 3rd picture is wearing and look how he spells "their" that cracks me up.

I have been an observer on this board for some years now but have never been the type of person to post. I think the difference between the extreme on both sides of the political spectrum are as follows. The Republicans have ego driven, in your face, look at me I'm on TV types spouting the most extreme thing they can think of but don't always believe. The Democrats have the I am smarter than you so your opinion does not count editorial, blogger type. The majority of both Democrats and Republicans are middle of he road, they don't hate either side or it's representatives, they just lean one way or the other depending on the issue. Here is the kicker, I really believe most do not strongly care one way or the other when it comes to politics.

I know I am poor at spelling

Burning in effigy.  Well, that's typical of extremists no matter what extreme they're at.  There's definitely anger there.

Without the explanatory context, the second one definitely strikes me as a political cartoon made 3D.  Bush using the court to overturn or ensure election results - thus the ballot box in place of the basket at the bottom.  Not one of those heads looks like Bush's, though I wonder if the one in the left foreground is supposed to be Gore.

The third one is no worse than any of the bile that's been spewed by the Teabaggers.  Unacceptable and undefensible.  But, of course, not racist either.  (That you are standing behind the 'I never said racist' thing as your defence saddens me, Jeff.  It's the same thing as you saying "These left wing protesters are just as bad as the Teabaggers - so long as we ignore the racism."  And ignoring racism is really your thing, as you've so ably shown already in this thread.  Makes me sick, really.  I take back what I said about saddened.  You sicken me, Jeff Gilmer.  Until you man up and decry the racism that was so clearly pointed out to you already, you are not worth an iota of my respect.)

Fourth picture is of some idiot with a death wish.  There's anger there, too, but I suspect it's mostly directed at him/herself.  Full of self-loathing.  At a Democrat rally.  Huh.  Maybe they were a Republican.

I also have a comment to the subject of health care. In Canada we do have Universal health care but it is far from perfect and does not cover everything. If you don't have extra insurance things such as medications and ambulance can cost an individual alot. Wait times can be long for treatment, my ex's father waited 6 months before a treatment plan for lung cancer was started. The system is abused by people because they see no cost associated with it. Don't get me wrong I am greatful for having it.

I wouldn't be surprised if many of those morons weren't marching with those signs for both "sides."  Someone with that much irrational hatred is likely to jump on any bandwagon where such venom is encouraged.

Unfortunately, in a nation where most* speech is protected, you have to take the good with the bad...and the idiotic.

*  Most, but not all.  I'm curious to know what happened to the person with the "I'm here to kill Bush" sign.

It's fair to strongly disagree with someone but when you start using personal attacks you blow your argument right out of the water.

Mr Benson I think you're right: they probably marched against both Bush and Obama.

"You sicken me, Jeff Gilmer."

Get a grip Al.  You act like this is the Nuremberg Tribunals and you're one of the judges.  Your Wall St BOY Obama (is that racist?) is a tool.

Just to clarify, Michael Sommerville (and welcome to the board!  Glad you've started posting!) what personal attack are you referencing?

Those anti-Bush signs over at  http://www.binscorner.com/pages/d/death-threats-against-bush -at-protests-i.html are worse than anything I have seen against Obama.  There are outright death threats against Bush.  I just wanted Bush to stand trial for war crimes and if found guilty then life in prison, not the death penalty (I don't believe in the death penalty).
