No, seriously, don't put him on ignore - just read his posts in Obama's voice - it's become one of the highlights of the thread for me.

Can you imagine? Barack Obama f'ing with us like that? It's pretty amusing.

Why is he not banned? Is it because JB and the mods avoid this thread?

Why would I get banned?   LOL because we don't agree on Obama?

Well, Mr President, there are stated rules on the forum about posting with your real name.

I recall that we've had this issue on political threads in the past. I'm not a mod here, so I can't really say with any authority what the hang-up is, but I can say that, in all fairness, we don't have any proof that Barack Obama's name isn't Michael Retour - just proof that he's not what he says he is in terms of managing campaigns or holding any sort of office (or running thereabouts).

We've established a credibility gap, but it may or may not involve his name; we don't know. There's too many unknowns here, I would think, to pass any sort of judgement.

Look - let me say this clearly, too - it looks like we're all ganging up on this guy - and I think it should be said out loud what's going on - people drop into this thread all the time, and don't bother to read the whole thing, so here's the context:

Mr President (aka - Barack Obama - aka Michael Retour) got a little confrontational and over-the-top, and when called on it, tried to play the expert card and say that he's somehow involved in politics. When asked to prove it, he got all slippery. Therein lay the issue.

Fact is, if I held public office, I wouldn't get caught taking crazy on a comic book message board, so I agree with him on that, but on the other hand, I would probably follow the rules and exercise some self-control, too. So... you know... both sides, if you will.

Mike come on.  The fact is you don't agree that Obama is a Wall St tool and that is what this is all about.

FDR used to rail about Wall St and if you are such a student of history you know that.

I called a few folks on their utter nonsense, their fragile egos were bruised.  Big deal.

Over the top is when you said we'd be eating dog food if Wall St wasn't bailed out.  Now look: Goldman Sachs gets busted etc.

You were wrong buddy.

By the way - for those following - dig that bad logic - Obama is a Wall St tool - yet, in the same post, Goldman Sachs is busted.

Wonder which one is right? Could it be more subtle than that? That we kept Goldman up so that America's line of credit could remain stable, and now that the dust is settled, we could make them pay for damages caused?

Nothing that subtle, though, right?

I hated to post that - it makes me cringe to debate the guy now that I know he's Barack Obama posting here as a goof.

Still - shitty logic is shitty logic and I can't let it stand.

Ah well. Obama forgive me!

Obama isn't going to reregulate finance.  That's silly.

If you know something I'd love to read it Mike.

I've read your posts and agree with a lot of them but on Obama we differ.

Forum has rules about posting under a fake name. All evidence points to you doing this.
