He's a liar and a troll.
Let's move on to something thought provoking and productive again.

agreed, Al. Let's talk health care, government responsibility vs. encroachment, financial reform, and why I should run for mayor of my town. leave the knuckledraggers to pretend to be somebody they're not.

Can I mention my plan for running for office? Oh, I really shouldn't - I'm blowing it all by revealing it...erm... Ah, what the hell, who reads the JBF? This won't make news if I give away the ending here - Here's my plan. There's a city in Northern California called Colma. It's two cities south of San Francisco, and while a few apartment complexes exist there, it's mostly a giant cemetary for SF's dead. SF being an island and all (well... eletist snobs in SF consider Daly City to be ocean anyway), there's no real estate to bury the dead in SF, so they get sent to Colma. (Not originally! The top of Geary - where the Sears used to be - now the big empty complex with a crap Best Buy? Next to Kaiser? That was a cemetary in ye olden days.) (Headstones moved, bodies, not so much.) Also? A giant crappy mall. Oh, pardon me, I'm running for office - a beautiful place for the Peninsula's young gangsters to spend time at. Well - I want to run for Mayor of Colma - run a serious campaign playing to fears of imaginary taxes and whatever local boogeyman scapegoat is en vouge (what are we on now? Gays still? Muslims again? Where do Mexicans fit in here?) I win the election, and for my inaguration, I march up to the top of one of the cemetaries, dressed in a druid-y robe, and in front of the assembled cameras, scream out "ARISE, MY ARMY OF THE DEAD! ARISE! THERE IS BRAINS ENOUGH FOR ALL OF YOU! MUAH-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!" And then TOTALLY enjoy my time in prison.

Please see the block records section of our web site for more information. ***************** So they allow you to block records. Big deal. There is no way that, if you're who you say you are, you could erase every record of your existence from a Google search. No way. I can search anyone else on this forum and get a hit, and yet you, who supposedly are active in politics, doesn't come up even once. The only hits I get on you are from this forum. I could really care less if you lie about your name here. That's your choice. But it does make you a coward and a troll. How very empty your life must be. I've only responded to you a handful of times, and that was a handful too many. I'll never put you on ignore, I don't do that. But, I can ignore you. Life is too short for wasting time on pathetic losers.

Why shouldn't you run for mayor, Jim? I think that's great.
I was going to run for public office in my hometown, but then I ended up moving suddenly and I regret that I never got the chance. To me it seemed a perfect fit: I loved that town and I loved the people who lived there and I was a part of a real community. I felt I had something to offer and recognized the importance of caring for and nurturing the growth of that community.
In my community involvement (and through my careers) I got to know each of the people who were on town council, and had nothing but the utmost of respect for them; no matter what I thought of their policies, I recognized in them that same desire to care for the community they loved.
But now I just want to steal Mike O'Brien's plan.

I wish my boss at Hardee's had run for mayor. He was a shitty boss (horrible temper; working with 18 year-olds and losers like me would do that to you) but he would have made a good mayor.

One of my congressional campaigns in California was in a predominantly white area. The other candidates were whipping up the population into an anti-immigrant frenzy. At a campaign event of 300-400 people we candidates shared the stage. This event was televised. It was a standard Q & A session with teleprompter like responses from most of the candidates, although one rather bloodthirsty one did say he would pull the switch on his own grandmother (playing to the pro-death penalty crowd). I asked for a show of hand of people who had lost their jobs to illegal immigrants. None.
The population there was terrified of their collapsing home values, job loss, drugs in the community and falsely blamed immigrants.

See? Retour isn't all bad...just needs to tone down the advisarial posting style. I'm just saying... But I agree with that. Seriously, how many rich whites are going to pick fruit? And not as a weekend hobby? How many are going to scrub toilets? How many are going to do grueling back-breaking labor?

Nope, I guess he's not.... since he doesn't exist. My Intelius search brought this up: - We searched Michael Retour and found 0 records in CA
- We searched Micheal Retour and found 0 records in CA
- We searched Mickey Retour and found 0 records in CA
- We searched Micky Retour and found 0 records in CA
- We searched Miguel Retour and found 0 records in CA
- We searched Michael Retour and found 0 records nationwide
- We searched Mic* Retour and found 0 records in CA
- We searched M* Retour and found 0 records in CA
- We searched Retour and found 7 records in CA
And the 7 that were found? Variations of the last name (i.e. Retourne). Sometimes it's worth having that account. And unlike Zabasearch, you cannot block everything that Intelius brings up, like date of birth. Yeah, I'm harping on it. But it's a totally fake name and it's a bannable offense for this site. Hopefully the moderators see this. With this now known, just put him on ignore, people. He's a troll playing games.

You know, for a minute or so there I was really excited about Mike O'Brien's campaign because I thought he was going down the road of the fiscalization of land use, a project we really need to get behind in California. After all, the buried dead don't pay taxes. Apart from voting in Texas elections, the buried dead really aren't much good to us at all, and the valuable land they occupy could be turned into much more valuable revenue generating properties like water parks and mini-malls. The buried dead are also a drain on the public purse. Think about all those City-owned Bay Area graveyards soaking up valuable water in a desperate attempt to stay green, water that could instead be used to fill someone's backyard pool down in Palo Alto or Los Gatos. And don't get me started on the hazardous chemicals being dumped into the environment so those cemetary flowerbeds stay weedless and the crabgrass is kept at bay. Now, of course, there might be some economic readjustment and workplace disruption. A handful of groundskeepers might be displaced, but they could find work in the private sector reclaiming yard work jobs from illegal immigrants. So, now this plan not only builds the tax-base, creates jobs, saves the environment but also enhances boarder security as illegals won't be lured north by those cushy landscaping jobs. This is a plan that should be able to unite the left and the right as growing prosperity is linked to greater social responsibility. (What about the stiffs, you ask? Hmm, hadn't got that far. How about we just dump 'em in the Ocean? Big puddle. It'll take a while before anyone notices...)

Just burn 'em. Toss the ashes into the air and let Europe deal with it. Hmmmmm, might be a catchy campaign slogan for O'Brien.... Burn 'Em for O'Brien.
