I just feel lucky we got to see Swann for the first time - I didn't even get to wondering about the woman in the shadows!

I'm really grateful that in this age of spoilers, we see Swann for the first time on the cover of the book.

Yeah -- guess there's no reason not to let you see him, now. . .

As with the name, Swann had several faces, on his way to the final page. At first, to further distance him from Bond, I considered making him sandy haired, but the drawings came out looking, to my eyes at least, a bit too much like my Robert Lansing avatar in ASSIGNMENT: EARTH. So I played with other ways to make him look less like Hoagy Carmichael!!

The AP story is getting picked up all over the place, as AP stories do!  The story has been picked up by The Washington Post, Business Week, Seattle Post Intelligencer, Miami Herald, Newsday, and a bunch of others.

And it looks like Digital Spy picked up the story, but rather than run Matt Moore's AP version, they did their own and pulled additional comments from this thread:

I am really loving the cover. Gives off the vibe of a pulp novel I may find currently at a book store. It really captures the eye. Very excited about this story being picked up by the AP. Think about it, an AP story about comics that doesn't involve the death of a super-hero or announcing some status changing event. How refreshing!

And if I had said "Union Flag", how many of my American readers would have known what I was talking about?

You did say Union Jack - I posted a quote from you.

It's not a Union Jack unless it's on a ship. It's the Union Flag.
