Damn... been so busy with work and freelance and getting ready for a new job that I've managed to completely miss this thread til now. Bad because I'm just catching up.... I had heard about Cold War, but not much else and good because Sept in now just over a week away.
Man, I haven't been this excited about a series in a LONG time....
Can't wait! Thanks for the excitement for a comic JB!

It is not the Union Flag, it is not the Union Jack, it is the Union Pennant.*
* Clarifaction: I want to point out the stupidity. I want an American artist to draw whatever he likes in cold war Europe, not reading comments like the corner of a Berlin house dosn't look like that and those helmets don't look like that and whatever could come up. I just made this up, but it's to me counter-productive to the imagnary stuff an artists wants to do.

Regarding the Union Jack/Flag/Pennant a simple way to make sure it is flown the correct way up(Upside down is a sign of distress, but as most people have no idea which way up is correct,it`s a bit useless!) would be to include the Welsh dragon in the top left corner. Wales would be represented which i`m sure would please most Welsh people!

Yeesh, how did I miss this thread? Very exciting news! Everything looks absolutely terrific - and I, too, appreciate the behind-the-scenes notes on your process. Thanks, JB!

My comic shop is promoting Cold War #1 today in their weekly email news letter, so that's a good thing.

Nice to play around in another genre once in a while. I spend so much time reading super-heroes that I forget to go back and look at my Tomb of Dracula, my Sgt. Rock, my Barks ducks, etc.
Bravo on Cold War, Chief!
