Joe, you nosey bastard :)

So, I just started "playing" withthe PITT pens, whereas before, I was using the Micron pens.

PITT seems smoother, but I am having a bit of a problem getting used to the brush style pen.
It looks like it would be great, and work exceptionally well if I can just used to the pressure to put on it and when.

Suggestions

Well, THAT'S no help at all :)

Do you use/have you used Micron pens? What did you think, comparatively?

I'm doing a page right now where I am mixing Micron and PITT...of course you can't TELL the difference, but I wonder about the staying power of the inks.

HEY! JT...shoot me over an e-mail...I need to talk to you outside the board.
I have a proposition that could prove mutually beneficial.

Well, I suck, so I am surely not the one to ask about this, but, I've used MICRON, STAEDTLER, PITT & COPIC brush pens.

I've found the MICRON frays and splits too soon. I can't get the thin line I want from it! But, I DID only pay $3 for it, so, am I just being a dick about it? I don't know.

STAEDTLER's Prismacolor brush pen has never let me down. It's my go to for now. The ink DOES look washed out, so I may try a refilling soon. Came in a pack of 6 or 7, sizes ranging from .005 nib to .08.

The PITT brushes are refillable, so there's that...I believe JB has said he's found some changes to the ink in them, and has gone back to sable for some applications. Some here have said they trim the nibs, but, I've not tried that trick yet. (I have the PITT BIG BRUSH, too, and I like it!)

The COPIC multiliner brush is a bit longer, and seems to have the darker ink. The Medium Brush THROWS dark ink. The Small one seems nice, however, I've yet to really put it to the test on something.

Mr. Simonson told me the other day he has always used, and always will, a Hunt 102 nib on a Crowquill. He did, however, just do a picture of Boom Boom from X-Factor with....the PITT Brush!
