I was going to do 30 days of nothing by characters that were created by Jack Kirby. But I realized that I would never be able to do that with my schedule. So, I will be doing 30 drawings of characters created by Jack Kirby. The other thing is to take no longer than 30 minutes or less to finish them.

This is a challenge for me to see if I will do it and if I can pull it off. I am not looking for praise or critiques yet both are welcome.

Thanks for looking. I hope you enjoy them.

First up was Darkseid.

Joe love your Darkseid!!!!
Sounds like a cool challenge, I admire you for pushing yourself. When I was in college and took the art classes, I really pushed myself and produced a ton of work, now I hardly ever draw or do watercolors. I have thought about auditing a class just to get myself motivated.

David I love the way you draw women, I would love to see you do Betty and Veronica with a more realistic look. Do you ever do commissions?

Thanks Jodi! I have done 5 so far. Only 25 to go. But it is really fun drawing these characters in "My" style. I will post 1 or 2 a day until I catch up. Which won't take long. :)

Jack Kirby's The Demon - I had fun with this one. It just flowed together nicely. I am a big fan of Kirby's Demon. I feel that only Kirby(Obviously) and John Byrne have caught the essence if Etrigan. I hope you like it.

@Jodi -

I will be sure to give Betty and Veronica a shot in the next few days.

As for commissions, I haven't made a practice of it but I suppose if there is an interest I will give it a shot.

Should be fun!

DAP - same as the rest, mate, nice stuff all round.

Joe Martino, ditto. Be nice to see how number 30 compares to number 1.

Joe Smith, your progression is fantastic. Keep them coming!

Was noodling away on my phone pad at work today - Red Sonja's a good standby. Tried something a little different with the sword arm pose, too. Funny thing, she's wearing about the same expression my missus does whenever I draw Red Sonja!
