Completed inks for my summertime pic:

One thing that I'm learning all over again are the advantages and disadvantages of inking with pen on certain types of paper.  In this case, the type of pen on smooth 2-ply Bristol board.  You might not see it on this scan, but the large pen tended to bleed a little with the fount India ink I was using.

It's making me wonder if I should stick to the markers on these projects, or opt for a set of rapidograph pens.  Other than that, I think I'll benefit from the lightbox technique, even if "interpreting" whatever pencil art manages to shine through the overlying medium is something of a new skill that I need to refine.

posted this on my facebook page, thought I would share it here too. This is a 3d image. About ten years old. I was attempting to get the 3d I was doing to look like my paintings. "Pup Hed in Paris"

Inspired by Gene Colan. Not that is shows. There's a master of his craft unlike any other.

Great work everybody.

Bill I really like the idea of 365 illustrated verses, one for each day of the year.

Here's my work -- Inked, Scanned and Refined...not sure where to position the enemies...I don't think I left enough space with the Green Lantern emblem in the backgrund...all suggestions for improvement welcome...

ooops...forgot the pic...
