That worked, I didn’t see the guys on the ship AT ALL until I read she was supposed to be a distraction :)

Thanks! 3 layers,  a backround which i will add more of a paint effect to, the drawing layer and the main paint layer inbetween.  Now I've done the underpainting i'll drop the drawing layer onto the paint layer and gradually paint over it.
