Getting my latest sketchcard scribble in...

I had something good to say about my old high school team this year.  It isn't often that you get to see a stretch where they're among the top teams in their state division for 2 years in a row, and the championship win kind of puts a crown on it.

Someone asked me to do this, their kid is into comics and has his own alter-ego - Karato. The mother wanted a pic of him fighting the Lizard, so i mocked it up as an old Marvel comic.

Cool stuff, Dan!

A few years ago I worked in a kids' school and one of the kids had to leave it for medical reasons, his parents hired me to teach him arts privately at home, so I decided to teach him the basics of comics, which he absorbed really well for his age.

Then when the time for his next birthday approached, I helped him create his own comic book to be given to his friends as a souvenir at the party.

The invitation was also done with the characters of his story.

After being too busy with other stuff for the last week I started back on my John Cusack digital portrait.  Just the hair, neck and jacket to refine.

Dan, that's a great present for a child. Great work!

Craig, nice photo-realistic quality! Great work there too!

Just playing around and around and around with some stuff...

While prepping for work today, I thought I'd get this one out of the way.  Especially since I meant to finish it over a month ago after I brought the Lightpad for my new inking technique...

And to think this started out as a static panel grid being used to test out the effectiveness of the light boxes that I was then looking into buying.

Thanks Dale! That's some nice work you've got going on there too!  Reminds me that I really need to get more practice drawing women.  Maybe I'll do a portrait of one of my favourite actresses next.
