Found this being discussed online. The conclusion was NO. Altho Thor (a la Marvel) is enormously power, he falls a tad short of Superman’s level.

At no point did anyone mention that Thor is supernatural, ie MAGIC, giving him a huge advantage. One solid hit from Mjolnir, and….

I think Thor might have an edge because of the magic, but Supes was also worthy enough to lift the hammer in the Busiek and Perez's JLAvengers crossover series, if I remember that correctly.

I wish people would forget that “worthy” business. It worked when Don Blake was a regular guy who gained the power of Thor thru the hammer, but from the moment Stan and Jack pulled their ginormous retcon, it should have been played as a ruse by Odin to keep the artificial Blake from too soon figuring out what was going on.

I think the only real advantage Superman has over Thor would be super-speed and reflexes.

God powers and magic gives the Son of Odin  a way of leveling the playing field.....

Whenever my son asks me this question, I tell him what Stan Lee said:
"The person who'd win in a fight is the person that the scriptwriter wants to win!".

He rolls his eyes, then again asks me who I think would win, and I say with conviction:  Superman.

He then asks me if Superman is stronger than Thor and I told him he is as strong as he believes he is for each task.

It’s a fight I’d love to see done by:

Simonson/Byrne: Plot
Simonson: script
Byrne: pencils
Simonson: inks

I just lean Marvel > DC on everything, so Thor absolutely wins.

If Thor connects with that hammer, Superman is in trouble.

But Superman moves faster than anyone can see, so...

I do also think each of their power levels have varied wildly based to the writer.

Is Thor's lightning merely lightning, or is it magical lightning like Captain Marvel's?

Earth One Superman would probably beat Thor, but he hasn't been around for a long time now.

But doesn't that same rule apply to the Hulk as well? He doesn't immediately get knocked out from a hit from Mjolnir, either.
