Came across THIS today. Technically incredibly impressive, but I feel like we should all be more terrified of this kind of stuff. I probably can't adequately fathom how much this will progress in 5 or 10 years.

I feel your angst, Brian.
Although, I can see how it can be inexpensive and useful when conducting tests for casting and costuming for movies to get a better feel for how a certain actor will come off in a particular costume.

When I see these, all I really see is 'shortcuts'. 

Template walk cycle. Horrific lighting. Sterile expressions and smooth textures.

And of course the biggest one of all...no creativity, personality.
