Yeah.  I hate that it sounds so final... but you've done so much.  We can't get Augustus Gloop greedy.

Great interview, and even with the expected civilian-facing questions, I learned a couple of things (like, I’d never known JB counts Wrightson as a primary influence).

Definitely my swan song. When I finish my part of volume 3 I shall lay down my pen and be done!

(Actuarially speaking, I have about 5 years left. I like the idea of spending that time doing absolutely nothing!)

If anything, I hope the outpouring has shown how important your work is to a lot of people.

I find myself chafing a bit at the “an” in the title. Seems diminishing. I would have preferred “former”.

The bent of the piece does make it seem like you did ELSEWHEN because you're an old crank who didn't want to exit the stage (of life, even!) before definitively, publicly correcting the record. But... that's not what you have said or even, as briefly quoted, say in the interview. This was for your own "amusement" and something "so much a personal project," never planned for publication. I guess it's boring to have people think that maybe you did it, ultimately, as a loving farewell to the characters, to your fans, to your career.

Has Claremont said anything about whether he’s read it?
