From an outside point of view, it looks like the Democrat party is self destroying...

During this time, John Mc Cain has nothing more than to count the points...

The more it goes and the more it looks like it weakens the potential of the democrats.

Man, I really don't want to have Mc Cain as Your next President!

So sometime more than 50 years ago the U.S. government was able to develop a disease that the world medical community couldn't even detect for at least 22 years and instead of directly infecting the people they wanted to kill decided to give the disease to chimps living near the people they wanted to kill. Yeah. Makes perfect sense.

I'm thinking you might have to.  Obama definitely shot himself in the foot.  After saying he could no more denounce Rev. Wright than he could all the black people in the nation and then sticking up for him through every horrible thing he said, the thing that finally makes him denounce him is Wright calling him a politician?

I, too, think Obama needs to press Clinton on the issues -- it's the only way he'll get out of this distraction mode.  They're pressing this advantage because he's trying to play fair.

Be interesting to see what wins out.

I have to be honest - I'm getting a little weary of hearing about people voting for Clinton because they don't like Obama's supporters - it's come up a number of times in this thread over the last few months - so I'm not targeting Ray here - but I hear it in the media too, and frankly?  What a direly immature way to vote.  There's no two ways around it - it's almost as disgusting as being concerned with Rev Wright - it's a non-issue that has nothing to do with the candidate, his voting record, or how he'll run the country.

*********************************

I cannot agree with this statement enough.  As much as I dislike Clinton, I will NEVER vote for McCain.  Even if she got so ticked off and called Obama the "N-word", I'd still vote for her over McCain.

Matter of fact, I was torn between voting for either Obama or Clinton right after Obama declared he was running.  It took until January of this year for me to really make up my mind, and I haven't regretted it.

I'm just tired of all these idiotic distractions taking up news space.  When was the last time an issue was actually discussed between the candidates?  It wasn't even fully discussed during the last "debate".  People are just allowing little sound bytes to determine their vote now.....  It's very disheartening.

I couldn't agree more Kevin.  The only thing I've heard recently related to an issue was gas tax soundbytes.

It took me until the morning before I voted in the primary to make up my mind (after Edwards dropped out), and I also couldn't be happier about my decision.  What REALLY cemented it for me was Hilary's pandering and smarminess during the last "debate."  If in some Bizzaro World I'm forced to vote for her or McCain, she still has my vote, but if there's a primary for her next Senatorial Campaign I'm going to look at whoever her opponent is very carefully.

Hmm.. we sound like a bit of a broken record here.  I was also an Edwards supporter until he dropped out.

Now it strikes me that everytime I find a candidate to support, they end up losing or dropping out.  I'm sure I'm not taking it personally, tho.

Well then, I'd at least like to be RED Kryptonite -- we'd at least get a few laughs at the bizarre physical changes.

Hillary with a giant ant head... Obama's weird unifying power... the McCain that time forgot...

I tell ya, one recent thing I love about Obama are his comments on the temporary suspension of the national gas tax.  Both Clinton and McCain support suspending the gas tax for roughly three months.  This summer.  When most people take vacations and travel by car.  They think it will help ease the consumer's wallet.  Obama has called them on it.  He doesn't support the suspension in the tax, saying that it will only save the average consumer roughly $30 and is a short term fix in an election year to draw people's attention away from the real problem. That's the kind of frank honesty I respect in a candidate for president.

Matt:

I couldn't agree more.  I'd love to pay less for gas but I don't want to get the government more in debt for what will be a small amount of relief.  But I was opposed to the stimulus package as well so its sort of my "view" on these kind of matters -- they are election year stunts.
