And everybody else, just cut it out with the "Al's a good guy" stuff. Nobody's buying it, and according to the contract I have to pay you $25 bucks for every nice thing said. Are you trying to bankrupt me or something?
You can just deduct from my monthly payments to the "Al Cook Fanclub."

So, let's talk about Obama family in Kenya, don't you guys think that they are in danger? I mean, some terrorist or something might want to hurt them just to make Obama sufer, I don't know... what you guys think about that? Shouldn't Obama try to have some kind of security measure to protect them? And how that would work? They are in Kenya, not US...

Hmm....that should be enough for the new wall display I was looking at.

How has that worked in the past? How close a relative does someone have to be to get protection? Did Billy Carter get protection? Is it only immediate family?

Geez, if you think Al is nervous now, just wait until he gives up Tim Horton's for a month. That's like asking a heroin addict to go cold turkey. You never come between a Canadian and his Tim Horton doughnuts and coffee!
Marcio, that's a good question. I'm not sure how his family in Kenya will be protected - or even if the U.S. government has any say on the matter.

Hate to say this, but that comes as no surprise. We just elected a guy
who doesn't know how many states are in his own country. I think this
reflects badly in general on the choices we, as Americans, make for our
leadership. Or that, with 24 hour news and such, it's simply easier to
catch people saying dumb stuff.

The report was that Palin did not understand that Africa was not a country, not that she made a gaffe referring to Africa as a country. There's a difference between knowledgeable people saying stupid things and a person not being knowledgeable about something.

$250 bucks for a wall display? Send me a catalogue from there, Scott. I
may have to place an order myself.
Bruce, glad to see you're familiar with the potentially deadly effects of
Timmies-withdrawal. But it's not so much the doughnuts these days as it
is the everything-bagel toasted with butter. Or, as we call it around
these parts, Breakfast.
Marcio - Interesting question. I would expect that some government
agency is working with Kenyan officials to make sure that the situation is
monitored at least. I'd expect the Kenyan Obama's are more at risk from
extortion attempts internally than international threats, but I don't really
have anything to base that on.

future and 2012. I don't think there is anything to worry about.
She will go back to Alaska and back into obscurity; her place in history will
be a trivia pursuit question. She was a joke now, some blame her for Mcains loss, I don't know about that, but she won't even have Mcain to elevate her status in the future. I really hope she has to pay back the tax payers's money she wrongfully used to take her kids with her on trips.

I came across some pictures of Obama's African family and it's hard to think that they can be endangered just for being relatives of the US president... And I think how bad Obama would feel if something happens to them....
Not an easy solution here, because some relatives are quite close to him, like his half sisters, uncles, and grandmother... and they are not rich people...
