Joe, words are not the same thing as the act.  Do you really not comprehend that?

"...before you know it, we'll be seeing Aunt May and Michelle Obama fighting side-by-side in Stark-supplied armors in next summer's "Onslaught on the Whitehouse!" mini-series!"

Prayer to any and all Gods...no one at Marvel editorial read this thread...

I have no problem with "Fuck Bush" or "Fuck Obama".  "Kill Bush" or "Kill Obama" is just going too far (ask the Secret Service!); that should be obvious.

We owe the office a measure of respect.  We also owe it our candor.  But we shouldn't want to give the president cause for concern for his well-being.

So we shouldn't say "Fuck Bush" to someone with an STD?

Well said. Me too.

Ok I have avoided this thread for the last few days because to be honest I have tried to stay upbeat and hopeful and reading what some of you have written is tough to stomach.

This man has not even been president for less than a week and you have already been able to post a link to the most hatefilled word and phrase about blacks. To those that respond to it, stop, by you repeating it, you further the hate speech that those delight in posting.

To those of you that thinks it's OK to write what they did about Obama, shame on you, seriously what the hell is wrong with you people! This isn't free speech, it's hate speech. If you say Obama is stupid, fine, but to insight violence is wrong. Get out and look at what the Obama win did for your country, he made it look good again around the world. Are you so partisan that this thread will now be filled with vile like this. Seriously it doesn't make Obama look bad it makes you look stupid.

Take a moment and look at the picture Mike posted, that is a better American, now look at that black child and repeat what you think is OK to post on a wall and call it free speech.

++++

Yeah, like in that amazing comic book in which arabs kidnap airplanes and trow them to the WTC two Towers, what kind of silly fiction is that?

Jeb was a good Governor but I don't think anyone named Bush could possibly win in 2012. David Petraeus would probably have a good chance but I don't think he's given any indication that he's interested in running. Bobby Jindal is someone to watch. He'd be the youngest President ever. Even if he were to lose the nomination he'd have a good chance at the VP spot.

"The statement on the wall could almost be considered as bad as a writing on a wall saying "Rape a child", not depictions of the actual act."

I agree with that. Provided the person who wrote it is a pedophile.
