And from my perspective, we appreciate your modesty, Geoff!

Well fats a very subjective thing I suppose!

I am about 30 lbs overweight the most I've ever been.  I'm 6 foot tall and fluctuate between anywhere from 200-215 (around 210 right now).  And the weight ain't muscle!  Working about 65-75 hours a week in a very sedentary job and having two kids, I don't excercise like I once did.  Excuses, I know (and addressed in Tom's thread!).  Not obese certainly, but definitely fat (for me).

Its well earned modesty Bruce -- I hate, hate, hate being photographed.

I can dig it. I look back at photos from my single, childless days and think, "Who is this young, skinny guy?"

I wear a suit everyday.  The trend toward "business casual" has started to reverse (at least in my field).  I don't mind wearing suits -- its the ties I hate!

Yeah, I knew that.  Was making a reference more about myself than anyone in particular.  I haven't worn a suit in I can't remember how long.  I think it might have been at a wedding 12 years ago.  I wore a tux as best man eight years ago.  No, I'm California casual all the way.  Nice pants, button-up shirt, nice shoes, but never a suit and most definitely never a tie!

"Who is this young, skinny guy?"

As Pete Townshend sang: "You can't pretend that getting older never hurt!"  Yeah old photos can be a wake up call.  My wife has lost all her baby weight but she's having a helluva a time finding time to work out too.  I didn't have a human being growing inside me but I can identify where I've added the weight -- its a combination of factors: I go to far too many work related dinners or cocktail parties; we always have cookies and shit like that in the house because of the kids (which admittedly is a self control issue but the costco cookies are AWESOME); my wife being pregnant 3 times in the last 4 years doesn't help; and having so many demands on my time I've let things go.

Needless to say I know my new years resolutions!

I am very jealous!

I don't mind a tie for the right occasion, but I don't even own a suit. I have
some nice jackets and slacks for formal occasions, but I usually wear a nice
pair of jeans, good shoes (black, with black socks) and a button down shirt
with a coordinating mock-turtleneck underneath when I need to dress up
for work.

Of course half my time is spent in my office here at home, where the shoes
get traded for big comfy and extremely silly-looking slippers, and the nice
shirts often stay on the hanger in favour of t's and sweaters or sweatshirts.

I occasionally even wear pants at the home office.

I have 12! Some with waistcoats, some without.  Some are 3 button, others are two.  I have blue, I have black, I have a summer suit.  Heck, I even own a tuxedo! (Black not powder blue).

Ok, ok - WARNING - link above?  Not for those who are upset about seeing animals killed.

However, if you can look past that?  MSNBC's captions are hilarious.

Don't think of it as laughing at the animals being slaughtered, think of it as laughing at Sarah Palin...

My favorite captions MSNBC ran: "Gov Palin Picks Worst Possible Backdrop For TV News Interview" and "Gov. Palin Not Realizing Incongruity Of Her Words Versus Her Backdrop"

I don't think she's "pretty" - and I think she's a horrible human being, but at least she gives us something to laugh at now that she's no longer a threat...
