Wait, that wasn't a poll - that was actual results. Never mind.

If Wright takes down Obama - as in, it is proven/agreed to be the thing that lost him the nomination - I am slapping this whole country in the face, alphabetically.

So if you see a fat guy in a "You Know What's Coming" T-shirt holding a clipboard and headed your way, just brace yourself and take it.

(Back of the T-Shirt says "Slapping The Stupid Out of America, One Person at A Time")

(I'm very fat; there will be room on the back of the T-shirt.)

Can I be your assistant, Kevin?  I'll hold the clip-board as you dish out the slappings.

It's a deal.  And in the interest of fairness, I expect to to slap me good and hard when we get to H.

Well, Al is a Canadian, so he's off our list.

I think we can slap each other, Kevin, but it's going to take both of us to take down O'Neill.  The guy doesn't look like a threat, but he's wiry.  It's like he wants to win, you know?

Oh, and to address a point lost here - Geoff - I don't feel that much sympathy for the home buyers....

Buuuuuut... I'm a "bleeding heart liberal" aren't I?  So, despite my personal feelings, I do want to see these people bounce back.

My feelings - and this is just as false as when people say welfare is bad because they saw a poor person wearing a gold chain - at least I get that my feelings are based on bad evidence - anyway - my experience is tons and tons of people who shouldn't be buying houses smugly and self-rightiously telling me that I NEED to buy a house.

I just like to see self-rightious people get their just desserts.  It's a character flaw of mine...

But that small bit of schadenfreude aside, I do sympathize, and I don't want people to be homeless, and I'd like to see them helped, not given a hand-out.

Which is another problem - it's always so black and white - it's either, people get a hand-out or they're thrown in the street - there's a middle ground here where people should get assisstance - not financial, per se, but someone to help them figure things out, and get on a good plan.

But, there I am, daring to dream, daring to believe in change... sniff...

It's ok....  I don't think O'Neill is much of a threat:

And yes, I'm just kidding.....
