She'll likely win Puerto Rico as well but her poor showing tonight could convince the undecided superdelegates to turn to Obama. I have a feeling Edwards will throw his support to Obama as well.

****************************

There have been rumors of a huge block of Super Delegates pledging their support for Obama this week.  Somewhere between 25-50 all at once.  If that happens, it's over for Clinton, especially if IN turns out to be a tie.... and right now it's headed in that direction.

And no way does Edwards give his support to Obama.  Edwards' wife absolutely detests Obama.

Edwards is a politician. His wife's feelings won't enter into it. If he votes for Clinton after Obama won big in his state it'll make him look bad.

Oops. I was thinking that Edwards was a super-delegate and he isn't. I still think he'll back Obama just as I think he would back Clinton if positions were reversed. He wants to be on the winning side but he wants to be absolutely sure before he endorses anyone.

Edwards may not be a superdelegate but I think he has 25 delegates that he
can "give" to Obama or Clinton.

He can ask them to vote a certain way but he can't force them.

Weeeeeell.  Final results are in.

Indiana?  You let us down.  To all my former room-mates in South Bend?  Fie on you!

Hillary takes it by 18,000 votes, and 4 Delegates - so, when all is said and done, at the end of the night, Obama is only kicking her ass by 10 delegates in tonight's gain, bringing his total lead to 171 Delegates.

I guess his momentum is over.

Wait, wait, what am I saying?  171 Delegates?  Ha ha ha... he showed Hillary the door!  Too bad she's bad at taking direction!

It's all over for the bad lady... all over.  She's got two more victories ahead of her - if she takes PR, I'll eat my hat - and then he'll clean up in the last few states, and he'll march into the convention way ahead, and all she can do is cry and gnash her teeth.

Must be hard for her - I'm not without sympathy - she's been told by the media all along that she would be handed the Presidency this year.

I like Fark's take on her quote this weekend - when she said she'd "work her heart out for Obama" - it's not a statement of backing, it's promise of grizzly suicide.

Or else she will somehow cause Florida and Michigan to count, or get the superdelegates to all vote for her because she has absolutely no baggage but Obama is bitter and elitist and then the Democratic Party will implode. She will not be president in either case.

If she was gracious in defeat and jumped in right behind Obama, they would take the White House and she might have some influence. What she is doing now is playing right into the Republicans hands. It is sad. Maybe after all these years of Limbaugh's attention has finally caused her to fall for the guy.

Hilary will still get more votes than Jason Castro, though.

Uh... I have to say, Neil, the idea of the "dream ticket" would be interesting IF she would take the VP spot - but I don't think that's even an possibility - mainly for party unity - the smart way to look at this is - there's no clear front-runner - about 48% like Hillary and about 52% like Obama - so... if anything, they're both the frontrunners - why not have that dream ticket and unite the party?

Partially because we can't see her taking VP, and there's no reason Obama should - he's the winner after all.

Despite my feelings about her, I don't think she could do that much dammage as VP - or if anything, she'll be caught soon enough and removed from office... If there was a way to get her to take VP - if that's the deal the super-delagates could hammer out at the convention, I'd support it.  I'm not crazy about the idea, but I do like the party unity idea.

There'll be a woman VP all right, it just won't be Clinton.  I expect to see Obama select Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius as his running mate.

Oh, and as for the delegate total from last night's primaries:  Obama looks to get approximately 99 to Clinton's 85.

It's over for her.

Oops, i didn't mean Clinton as VP. I just meant that she should jump behind his campaign and help to get him elected. I really don't see Obama picking her as a running mate. I imagine he will pick a white male as his VP, for political reasons.

"This primary election on Tuesday is a game changer. This is going to make a huge difference in what happens going forward. The entire country -- probably even a lot of the world -- is looking to see what North Carolina decides."
-- Sen. Hillary Clinton
