Any more thoughts on abstentions, Scott?
Nothing in particular. If I had the time, I'd go through and count every vote for Clinton and figure out her abstention ratio as well. Hopefully I'll have time later but it's a tedious process. I can't believe that there isn't some site out there that doesn't already have the statistics.

Looking at those numbers it's very clear that it's about race - for Clinton.
What is the population breakdown in the U.S. for black to non-black voters? 20-80? 60-40? 50-50?
Not really. Remember, 40% of the non-black voters supported Obama and 59% supported Clinton. That's a lot fairer distribution of votes than the black vote where it's 90% for Obama and 10% for Clinton. It shows that the non-black voter is, in general, going to be more open minded and ignore race when they vote. The black voters, when 90% support Obama, are definitely voting because of race.

Well, you seem to have found them easily enough for Obama - where did
they come from? Maybe the same place has them for others.

If you actually read my post you would have seen.
1. The link to the site.
2. That I manually went through every single one of his votes and counted them.
I guess scrolling back to a previous page was harder than making baseless comments?

I think you misunderstood my question. How many black voters are there?
How many non-black voters are there? Totals - just the straight up ratio in
the U.S. is what I'm interested in.

Help me out then; what page is that link on?
(Oh, and saying "seems" is not baseless - I was relating an impression, not
fact. But besides that, you were the one who had that info. I thought you'd
be happy to supply it again. Why make me go through all the trouble of
hunting it down when you've got it?)

Which is why Canada will never take over the U.S. Lazy Canadians. (said totally tongue-in-cheek)

Yes, race is an issue. However, you can't claim that one group is being
more open minded than the other. Obama and Clinton have platforms
that are very similar, so I don't begrudge black voters who go for Obama
because they think his being black will give him an additional perspective
about where they are coming from. What should be compared are black
voters who would not vote for Clinton in November because she's white
and white voters who would not vote for Obama in November because
he's black.

Emery Calame:
There are people crying with laughter at photoshops of Bush holding "My pet Goat" upside down.
Not to mention the 'Side-Splittingly Hilarious Since 2000' tradition of spam e-mails showing photos of GWB and a bunch of monkeys, to point out the resemblance! Did anybody ever see that? Huh? It was a crack-up, man!;-D
Wonder if anybody would try something like that with President Obama(or Clinton!)

I have no doubt that would happen -- tastelessness has no political party.
