“I would call my attorney general in and review every single executive order issued by George Bush and overturn those laws or executive decisions that I feel violate the constitution,” said Obama

***

The first thing he's said so far that would make me want to vote for him.

Damn, Thom, courting the zombie vote didn't get you?  You're a hard man, Thom, a hard man...

Question: How does a candidate attend a fundraiser without said act being
intrinsically one of campaigning?

Scott:

you wrote: "No. Clinton was at a private fund raiser the night before the
primary. She was not campaigning in the state."

I pointed out that she was in the state at "victory party" the day of the
primary. After she was declared winner -- but the day the votes were cast.
As made clear in the article I cited, in the days leading up to the primary she
was in the state and getting endorsements from democratic state leaders --
all done prior to the primary. What does that sound like to you?

There was no gaffe. It's obvious he believes in full rights for zombies.
He was just courting the undead vote.

Yet I think Frank Lautenberg is an undecided Superdelegate!

*Edited to correct Lautenberg's status.

Watching the Rules & Bylaws committee on CSPAN reminds me what bothers
me about the penalty in the first place: it was too severe. It was not fair to
the voters in Florida and Michigan. This foolishness could have been
avoided with good leadership.

I think a press conference in which the President unleashed a hoard of zombies would totally kick @$$.  I'd pay money to see that.

"He was just courting the undead vote."

Well, he is a Chicago politician and they are used to counting the dead voters.  Moving to the undead isn't too much of a stretch.

Hudson County, New Jersey is famous for its "dead voters." Brendan Byrne,
one of our former governors, said when he dies he wants to be buried in
Hudson county so he could remain politically active.

Waste of time. McCain has that one locked up tight. Zombies always go with their own.

FL & MI delegates will get seated after a compromise has been made:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080531/ap_on_el_pr/primary_scra mble

In the end, the goalposts have been moved.  The new target is 2,118 instead of 2,025.  And with the new totals of delegates being doled out, Obama is now 66 delegates away from securing the nomination.
