The website sure didn't make me feel any better though Al.

No, it surely wouldn't. It's awful. I wish there was a way to make people see
the problems and work to fix them.

Boy - of all the days for me to miss this thread...

Lots of running in cirlces - all I can say is that I can personally vouch for Al Cook's character.  Jodi Moisan is also a good egg - she sent my grandmother a teddy bear.

I'm prett jazzed about Obama though.

Todd, Geoff and Al when you can tell me which one of these men is the convicted molestor, I will then trust all men. I can't, so I will choose to error on the side of safety. If it pisses you guys off........tough!

And just an FYI, I quit work to be a stay at home home because I didn't trust any of the ladies I interviewed to be my son's babysitter.

WAIT I don't trust anyone with my kids!!!!!!!!!!! I am not predjudice I am paranoid!!!

(In response to Mike O'Brien above.)

Wha-huh? Obama who?

What were we talking about again?

(And yeah, I've always liked Jodi, too. One of the best!)

Fair enough.

As long as we can apply the same "guilty until proven innocent" yardstick to you, as well.  If it pisses you off...tough!  What's good for the gander is good for the goose.

For instance, you obviously had some sinister ulterior motive in sending Mike's grandmother a teddy bear.

I am fine with that. My Motto is: If I am at least not called a bitch once a day, I am not doing my job as a woman.

Hmmmm.  Look at this article.

Women should never be left alone with children.

Should be pretty easy. Just find out which one wants to spend time with kids
but doesn't have any of his own. Bingo! There's your man.

Scott go to the previous page, I have already said I didn't trust any of the women I interviewed to be my son's babysitter. So I am an equal opportunity mis truster when it comes to my kids.

What about Ralph Wiggum for VP?

He's already been president for the last 7 years . . .

No.  He just got the Democratic nod in the primaries this year.

So based on these numbers 4.1% of the perpatrators were not in the household. 40% of the kids were hurt by their moms, who are decidely not men.

These statistics are incredibly depressing, as they should be.  However, let's not confuse the issue with looking at the wrong numbers.  40% are hurt by their own mothers.  That isn't a concern for me, see?  My wife is a fantastic mother.  Another huge number are by fathers- once again, will never happen by me.  Step-parents, relatives- no problem for me there, we don't have or interact with those groups in a non-supervised way (only a grandparent; but I can't convey here the level of trust, so just give me the benefit of the doubt on this one).  What I am concerned with is that single-digit percent of preofessionals or facility workers.  Can we get a stat on the gender there, or the specifics of the situations involved?  I feel confident it's supported by the numbers, but regardless I'm still leery (using Jodi's word) of the situation I've described repeatedly.

My personal attack on Al was probably in poor taste, especially the specific words I used (note that this isn't an apology :-), but I just feel like it was a reaction to inaccurate assessments of my beliefs or character.  I'll not "fight like a girl" anymore :-P, but I don't exactly trust you, Al.  You're much too smart in your manipulation of statements, LOL
