McCain is fighting back. He's been calling an Obama Presidency Jimmy Carter's second term.

She's got her eye on a new house

****

New kid = new house. We've only lived in my present home since January of 2007. New baby in February. My wife is now jonesing hard for a new palace. Not as much as McCain and Obama want the White House -- but close!

He's not the only one. I've seen that a few places now.

Tell her to wait until you are in the house over two tax years or you will be forced to pay a capital gains tax, even if you do roll any profits into the new place.  So I bought you about 7 months!

The next term will be George W. Bush's third term no matter who wins in November, at least at the beginning.  There's a lot of damage to undo.

Let's not get into two GOP-leaning lawyers discussing cap gains, Geoff! I'll beat myself in head with my shoe before long!

Agreed! But it was one of the more sneaky tax changes though Michael, and the kind that affects "non-investors."  A really terrible change in my opinion!  But I am not (thank Christ) a tax lawyer!

That's a great way to kill a thread.

Remember Bloom County?  "Two economists?  In the same room?  Whatever you do, don't discuss the economy?"

"The economy?  It's doing well."

"No, it's not..."
