I've never voted anything other than Democrat in any Presidential election; or, more accurately, I've consistently voted against the Republicans.  That doesn't mean I'm going to swallow, unquestioningly, everything thrown on there by Democrats or that I need to have some blind loyalty to the party.

Updated because someone posted before I could, now post doesn't work.

I am not following him blindly, if I was going down party lines I would have been a Hillary supporter. I am just trying to defend him, I wasn't the one that brought the topic to the table.

The reason I asked who you all voted for, is it helps to know where you are coming from.

Even a lousy liberal like me hates that MoveOn.org.  I can't tell you the battle they gave me to get me off their mailing list (every day I got SEVERAL emails from them asking me for money, or my time, or my firstborn).

I'm not surprised they attacked.  That seems to be all they're good at.  Anger anger, so much anger.

There's a high road.  I wish MoveOn could find it.

Tom I really wish we all could find it, but politics are a dirty nasty business.

The candidates always pretend they're on it, then these dirtly little 527's step in and do the dirty work.  The difference between Swift Boat and MoveOn, though...  Swift Boat was created simply for the purpose of the ad.  MoveOn is a major group, positioning themselves to be the Democratic Attack Dogs.

They get me so mad...

Off topic, Back during the primary I was talking to the Obama campaign guy that lived with us and I was telling him how Barack needed to come out hard against Wright. He explained that that was not the kind of guy Barack was. We got to talking about turning the other cheek and he told me about a saying in Texas about turning the other cheek and I loved it, but for the life of me can't remember it.

Has anyone on here heard of another saying using the "Turn the other cheek" ?

I wish they realized sometimes they really hurt their cause. But what's really sad, going negative works.  the minute Hillary started to really attack Barack her numbers went up. Very sad.

Headed out to dinner, I have enjoyed our debates, you all have a great evening!

Thanks in large part to her support from the HRC (Human Rights Campaign) who, even now, are unwilling to give up on her.

Saw the moveon ad.  If that's as bad as it gets this will be the most civil campaign in history.  Hang on to your outrage, hang on to your bile, because that was nothing.

And if so, what's the reason you don't check it?

---

I don't check it because I'm not going to give the government ONE MORE DOLLAR than I have to.  Seriously.

Tom, you realize checking it doesn't give them any more money, right?  The government has the exact same amount of money whether you check it or not.  The very clearly point that out.  It does not deduct from your refund in any way.  The money comes out of existing taxes.  It's nothing additional.  It just shifts it from being spent on B instead of A.

Matt you don't for a little bit, think that a man that has said all along he doesn't accept money from lobbyist and wants to give government back to the people. May want to do this partly because it is a way to stop using taxpayers money.

Do I think the spending limit is part of the reason behind this, yes I am sure it was, but I also think it is a feather in his cap to turn down taxpayers money in an economy that has bottomed out.  Bush raised more money then Kerry, did he turn down the money and save taxpayers millions?

Taking the funding would be more altruistic than not taking it.  The tax dollars are already earmarked for it.  By not using that he's taking money out of the pockets of his supporters.  :Money a lot of the poorer people can't afford to spend but do so anyway because of "hope" and his charming personality.  That, to me, makes it selfish, not selfless.  Those contributers have already paid taxes that went toward the funding.  Now he's taking additional money from them.  It doesn't matter that they did it voluntarily, it's still taking advantage of them needlessly when alternative funds were readily availible.

But I like "A"...

edited to add: unless they choose to spend it on "Q"
