Well, wallpapering the budoir with pictures of Elizabeth Banks may not have been a good idea.  Kelly was pissed when I replaced pictures of our kids on the fridge with pictures of Charlize Theron . . .

But Elizabeth Banks seemed like a better choice than the next-door
neighbour. I see have much to learn.

Edited because people who use 'then' when they mean 'than' set
my teeth on edge.

Hey Jodi - smart move - I'm doing the same - it's been a fun and civil discussion, but in the interest of moving this election forward, I'm going to spend time doing things in the community - working phone banks and voter registration, etc.  Debating on the internet is a pretty low priority in making sure Barack Obama gets elected.

Mike I just got called 2 weeks ago, Obama is actually setting up an office here in Muncie Indiana, something that has not been done since Robert Kennedy ran. I am pumped that we aren't the forgotten Red State in this election. It showed me Obama is not dismissing us as a lost cause. The office had a kick off Saturday, I couldn't go, due to being in Indy I was bummed. But I am sure I will be making up for the lost time.

Mike my debates weren't as civil, I think you were elightening some that may now vote Barack, I was just pissing people off and I felt my wanting to show some the wonders of Obama came off poorly. I stated, I hate that, about political attack dogs like Bill'O, but here I was doing the same.  I have never been so scared for my childrens future as Americans and I let this fear color my debate and lumped some good republicans in with some really bad ones.

Email me and let me know how the campaign is going and if you get to meet Barack.  Have a great time campaigning!

As to your politics you never pissed me off, Jodie.  And you are always entertaining.  I get your anger and much of it I share so, as I said upthread, I hope you consider sticking around as well.  For what it is worth.

Thanks Geoff, I work on the computer about as much as I work on the actual orders I have. I enjoyed the debates of the R's side, it made my work day go faster. As I said, I firmly believe in the saying "If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything" I looked forward to hearing what you all had to say. I just didn't like that my frustration was losing me friendships of some really great people on here.

Also sometimes when I was kidding around people took it as being mean, my smart ass humor didn't translate well. Todd I know was mad and I honestly was trying to be funny by posting those corney pictures in the "Jodi Hates all Men" section of this thread :0) LOL

Thanks for the kind words, Geoff.

Having said that - so, homes forclosed, can't afford food or gas or rent, banks going out of business...

I'm thinking now is the time for the return of the Hobo.

Ah, to be a 'bo.  Riding the rails, carrying your meagre belongings on a bindlestiff, eating cans of beans or pies that nice ladies give you...

Who's with me?  Stinky Al Cook?  Jodi Railrider?  Washington Geoff Gehosephat?  Clubfoot Simko?  Jive-Talkin' Johnny Byrne?   What would my Hobo name be?  San Francisco Mike?  Oblong O'Brien?  Talky McStupid?

(And how can I make this post invisible to Christopher Alan Miller so he doesn't do his usual snarkly "No, we're not in a recession" type reply?)

((And, I'm in a field that's really doing well in this economy, so, uh, I'll be living vicariously through you filthy 'bos.  And, no, no, even though I'm filthy rich, don't scribble your god-damned 'bo code on my home.  No pies here, you filth!))

Yeah, it seemed like a dick move to throw that in there, but it was to make clear that it was a humorous post and there was no need to come in and fact-check me on the status of the US Economy.

We aren't in a recession. A recession is two quarters of negative growth. We haven't had one quarter of negative growth.

Ol' Hingebutt Hagerman would be a good one to come up with your hobo
name, O'Brien.

If'n your nice, he might even put it in a limerick...
