Anyone notice after Bill stepped off-stage, they started pumping "Addicted To Love" over the speakers? (I'm not kidding either)

It's curious that the Obama has chosen a replica of a Greek temple to give his speech from?

First Joe "Captain Plagiarism" Biden as his veep, now the "I am a god" imagery?  Seems like someone is making kinda poor decisions.  Maybe he'll reach out and grab the hubble space telescope with his big green energy-hand next.

Whether his stage was overdone is debatable, but I find the incredulity of Obama's critics over the "Greek temple" a little disingenuous:

Maybe McCain will keep us in a portracted War where we as a country will lose our credibility and drive us almost to the brink of financial ruin. Oh wait that's already been done by the last Republican President.

But you are right, there are bigger issues like: Obama has chosen a replica of a Greek temple to give his speech from.

I will say I will crack up at the Addicted to love thing if it's true, I was out for a walk when he was on, who knew he wouldn't speak on prime time.

First Joe "Captain Plagiarism" Biden as his veep, now the "I am a god" imagery?  Seems like someone is making kinda poor decisions.

Dang Jozef ,you have been swift boating tonight

Summary: The Los Angeles Times reported that when Sen. Joe Biden ran for president in 1987, he "was accused of plagiarism when he did not credit Neil Kinnock, then leader of the British Labor Party, for much of his stump speech." The New York Times and the Associated Press made similar reports. But they did not note that Biden reportedly had credited Kinnock, as The Washington Post reported at the time: "John Quinlan, a reporter for the Sioux City Journal, said his notes showed Biden said he was quoting Kinnock when he used the same passage in a speech Aug. 14. Stories in The [New York] Times, The Boston Globe and other newspapers also said Biden had used the rhetoric and credited Kinnock for it."

one source where I found it

But hey at least he didn't get drunk, shoot a friend in the face and expose a CIA agent because her husband was messing with his plans. Damn I am going to miss Cheney.

Yeah.  My jaw dropped a little bit over that.  I'm glad for the Greek temple props though because I'm not supporting Obama, but, if I were supporting him I'd ask him, "What were you thinking?"

People are already making fun of him as "the messiah" based on his followers.  Positioning himself as if he were looking down upon the masses from Olympus was not a good move for him.

Oh come on.

It's the Democratic party.

Athens is the birthplace of democracy.

If it has to be put together more explicitly than that for you then my beliefs
will be shattered that you're just running with this "Obama/Olympus"
bullshit for fun and that you are only pretending to be stupid.

GREAT speech by Bill.
---
I'm tempted to cast a "write in" vote for him!

Jodi, let's not cloud the issue with facts and reason, okay?

Bill has always been a great orator; no surprise that he delivered the best
speech of the night. Obama has the raw talent to be an even better orator,
though; time he stepped it up, methinks. Can't let the former, still beloved,
still controversial, President overshadow you.

I still think it would have been funny if Bill had settled scores last night. Just went out there "After all I've done for you? You screw me like this? I'M the one that does the screwing around here! You guys can all kiss the fattest part of my big, white, southern ass!"
