Jodi, let's not cloud the issue with facts and reason, okay?

LOL , Wallace sorry I'll try better, I just figured, after 8 years of stupid we as a country were ready for that. Man I am going to have to work on a cute insulting nickname for McCain and hey it doesn't even have to be true. Hmmmm, Let's see "McMurderer McCain",  I am sure he has killed a bug or hit an animal with his car, now I will email it to a mega church members list and in a blink of an eye, Fox news will be reporting it as the truth. Crap no they won't, he's not a democrat.

If it has to be put together more explicitly than that for you then my beliefs
will be shattered that you're just running with this "Obama/Olympus"
bullshit for fun and that you are just pretending to be stupid.

LOL

Edied to add:

Joel you posted while I was typing, that was pretty funny!

(I made a very slight change in the wording there, Jodi. Switched
out the last "just" for an "only". Much closer to what I'm getting at
now...)

But hey at least he didn't get drunk, shoot a friend in the face

Well, in fairness the guy was a lawyer and there is a social good attached to shooting lawyers in the face so he's got that going for him . . . .

Voting for McCain is like voting for a glue stick.  Whatever was interesting about McCain years ago has been white washed under a Bush lover pale that's made the guy unrecognizable.  And senile.

I have no issue with angry Cheney shooting guys in the face - it's all the torturing and senseless war he's also committed.

The Greek Temple Brouhaha is a triffle silly, isn't?

I thought Biden was effective, but I thought Biden's kid was great.  My wife was in tears as he relayed his family's story.  Of course Mrs. Biden is a great american and brillant woman receiving her MA at one of America's finest institutions of higher learning.

"Man I am going to have to work on a cute insulting nickname for McCain and hey it doesn't even have to be true. Hmmmm, Let's see "McMurderer McCain" "

Why not just stay with the classics, and refer to McCain and Obama as "McCain and Able"? Or go rhyming - BrainDrainMcCain or punning - NovoMcCain or call his wife Cindy McVain or go dialect "John McCain't". Or literary allusion : The Campaign of McCain is plainly in vain.

That's what's lacking in this campaign, I think. Clever, insulting bon mots. They should take a cue from Cyrano de Bergerac : there's nothing so tedious as an unimaginative insult.

He did apologize for getting shot in the face, that was the funniest thing I have ever seen.

Imagine a remake of the video with him and a squad of Lewinsky-ettes.

LOL Will they be wearing the little black dress? I don't even want to think what he would be shooting them with, ewwwwwwwwww.

I was extremely pleased with every speech so far at the DNC.  Can't wait to hear tonight's (though I have to teach a night class :-(

It'll be interesting to see if any changes have occurred to the national polls after the convention.

Greek columns... is this REALLY all you Republicans have?  Oh, wait!  I forgot, you don't like his middle-name or that his father might have been a convert to Islam (can you say religious BIGOTS)?  Wow, maybe Obama IS gonna win this thing.

As for the columns, you can look at it as more of the "Obama ascends Mt. Olympus to take his rightful place in the pantheon of the gods" or you can look at it as an American politician selecting (if he even had a direct hand in it) a backdrop that reflects the American adoption of ancient Greek architecture that litters Washington D.C. and more than a few statehouses around the country.  Examine your bias (love him/hate him) and then choose accordingly.  I am not being sarcastic.
