What a tired line this is, seriously.

If Obama wins it will give us the opportunity to see how much of an ordinary politician he is... no change, no difference.

If Obama was really that inspirational would he be neck and neck with McCain in the polls?

Yes because we as a nation are still that closed minded. But I have faith we have gotten better and hopefully continue to do so.

Did your magic eight ball tell you that? LOL

Of course.  Anyone who doesn't fall for Obama's faux-Messiah schtick must be closed minded and/or racist.

That being said, major props for the W.C. Fields quote.  I'm partial to "Anything worth having is a thing worth cheating for."

On a more important note I'd like to point out that McCain's daughter is really hot.

Why does Obama automatically rate this "messiah" crap? The guy inspires, McCain perspires, but he is not god and not even the president can change a trillion dollar bureaucracy overnight, if at all.

If party lines were erased, what about McCain makes him vote-worthy? Nothing I have read or seen thus far makes me think other than "same old same old". Maybe Obama will turn out to be just another politician, and a one-term president, but does not the idea of a leader truly worth following appeal? If only to see if its true?

I don't know about the US but up here turnout is lower than it has ever been because we know nothing ever changes. We have no leaders worth following. We have no leaders at all, not even politicians who can lie effectively enough to make us want to believe them.  Is no hope better than false hope?

You guys at least have a shot and I envy you that.

I am saying this as a critism of my own party, I could be wrong, but my understanding is, there are more registered Democrats than Republicans. Those that are solid republicans will not jump ship for Obama because they are loyal to their parties ideals , has nothing to do with race and yes there are those fence sitting republicans that are racists that will become firm McCain supporters. It is the closed minded democrats that will leave due to being a racist that will hurt Obama the most. I had one guy when I went canvassing, that I talked to, that supported Hillary. I asked if he was a democrat, he said he was a registered democrat but had voted for Bush. I asked if Hillary lost the primary would he support Barack. His exact words were: "Jesus Christ no, I would never support Dan." Confused, I asked, did he mean that Barack was like Dan Quayle? He laughed and said "no it's because he's a Dumb Ass N*gger."

Has anyone else ever heard of the phrase Dan? That was something completely new to me. Maybe Indiana is just a redneck state, but it is mind numbing how closed minded some people are. But I do think it is getting better, this guy looked to be in his late 60's younger generations don't seem as caught up with race. Which makes me hopeful.

Well Chris gets an A for knowing the V.P.'s job. Now will you text Sarah Palin and fill her in? Did you even watch the clip where SHEEEE poses the question? And if you did, at that moment, how did you feel about her being a heart beat away from the little red button?

I guess you have problems reading. The point of my post about the Vice-President's job is that there isn't much to do unless the President gives you something to do. None of us know what duties Joe Biden and Sarah Palin would have as VP. Only Obama and MCain can decide that and they can change their minds about it at any time.

About as scared as having this guy a heart beat away from the little red button.
