It's politics people!!  I say RAKE it till it's KNEE-HIGH!

I have never understood the complete and utter LIE that politics was ever bound by some kind of Marquess of Queensberry rules.

No, Jodi it's called "hypocrisy."  If you're going to sell your candidate as a new kind of politician, maybe he should actually be that?

Conspiracy version - Bristol is not five months pregnant, she is three. Wait and see when she gives birth a month or two 'late.'

Like McCain, Obama doesn't need to dirty his hands with mudslinging.  That's what blogs are for.  Then the candidate can condemn the attack.  I don't really see McCain or Obama running filthy campaigns.  But surely there will be lots of mud slung on the internet.

And everything you read on the internet is true.

(I apologize for calling you "Shirley".)

Thom,

We're so keen on proof here.  Where is your proof Obama came up with, planted, or even sanctioned these stories?

He didn't say that Obama came up with, planted, or sanctioned those stories.

Here is the thing, as a mom what bothers me about Palin, If I had a daughter that was pregnant out of wedlock, I would never ever put my daughter under the microscope that goes along with running for VP. This does not make her daughter look good at all. I am sorry but I would NEVER do that to my child.

Dave I didn't use those words and I was blown the same shit, about being an "Angry Democrat".  It's completely different when you are repeating the words used by those you are frustrated with, then coming on here and call someone the name. But I will say this, Rich use that anger to motivate you to go out and volunteer for Obama.

Who said you did use them? You just told Rich not to change and that you agree with most of what he says, and that he has a right to be angry after the last 7 1/2 years. He gets a pass, in other words, for using the words he has. I suggested he tone it down a notch and lay off personal insults. How is his using the two words I quoted "repeating the words used by those you are frustrated with" in anyway appropriate? And did you mean "than" instead of "then" when you said that's different "then/than" coming on here and call someone the name"? He called someone here a retard: "You are cluelss retard." He used that derogatory word for homosexuals, simply for effect. Hyperbole. It's not really necessary, is it? He seems to write well, maybe he could do it with less venom and get his points across a little better if he toned that stuff down. Maybe that's what he's all about though. I'd like to read whatever else he's had to say on the forum. I've ony read his comments in this thread.

We truck in innuendo, rumors, and lies because it's easier than debating issues.  And because Biden is a poopyhead.

Marc,

Maybe you should try reading my posts?  I clearly pointed the finger at Obama's supporters (ya know, the words "Obama's supporters" might have been a good clue).  I find it hilariously hypocritical that Obama's campaign and followers have engaged in every form of standard political nonsense all the while crowing about how he was going to change the politics of old.  Just because Obama keeps his dainty fingers clean doesn't mean he isn't tacitly responsible for what goes on around him; and if he's so "inspirational" why hasn't he inspired his followers and campaign to follow his alleged example?

I've got no problem with dirty politics; hell, I'm a Clinton supporter.  You do what you gotta do to get elected.  But don't sell this guy to me as something new when he's clearly a standard issue politician.
