Geoff, I echo Al's thoughts. You're a scholar and a gentleman.

Oh, and, I may be a jerk - in fact, I'm a full-on asshole, but, unlike you, I'm not feeble minded.
Your posts say otherwise. People can read for themselves.
But I can't hate, dislike or dispise you, like you've stated about your feelings for others, I can only feel pity.

Geoff great column by David Brooks, thanks for the link.
That's the thing I don't understand , if they had chosen a moderate republican to run with McCain or an independent, that would have been a very successful ticket.

As usual, Geoff is right. Passing the bar is a tough task and a notable accomplishment. Obama's legal background is one of his genuine selling points as a candidate. I certainly can't knock him on those grounds.
Having said that, I wouldn't make too much of it. After all, probably the most accomplished attorney to occupy the Oval Office in recent memory was good ol' Richard Nixon!

I think it will still be a successful ticket, Jodi, I just think it would have easier with Lieberman.

Lets stop making our posts personal, attack the candidates if you like, but take the personal stuff off the table. Or just take pictures of your willys and we will vote on who has the biggest and settle it once and for all. :0)
